Grief Comes in Waves. Will You Drown?

Grief comes in waves, like the ocean. We can feel like we are drowning when we fight against our feelings, or simply feeling them in our body, they move through.

It happened again this morning when my “Grief Shoulder” ached. My thoughts about my future “To Do” list for the entire month of September triggered the pain. Only when I returned to the present moment by breathing as Grateful Loving Presence did the pain simply move through and down my left arm.

My body had signaled me that the grief I felt with this business in this moment was only fear triggered by thoughts of overwhelm, fatigue and anxiety. How often do thoughts of loss trigger my Grief Shoulder? This month I will notice and note those days and times. Where does Grief live in your body? Join me in September for Grief Relief, a workshop to recognize, release and replace embodied grief. Check out the events page on www.BeyondYourGrief.com for the date and time in Portland, OR. Email me at Georgena.eggleston@gmail.com to join in the on-line workshop being held: Tuesday, September 23, 2023 at 5 :00- 7:00 p.m. PT. Bring your overwhelming despair and leave with confidence in the comfort you discover within.
